Top Albums of 2013

Every website attempts to boil down the top albums of the year, and most of the time there is bias through genres and artists, but I attempted to give a completely unbiased view of all the albums from this year.  The scale that went through to rating these albums was very simple - when I listened to these albums, how strong was the re-listening appeal.  This is one of the most important things for an album in my mind, because sure an album can have that initial excitement appeal, but the success of an artist to make you come back to the album again and again means that it was a successful album.  Along with that, the diversity and strength of the track list was taken into account - did the album get boring at any point? Did the album have multiple styles or a consistency throughout?  All of these went into the decisions, and I must say that originally I wanted to make this a top 20, but that did not seem fair to some of the great album that were released this year, so here is my TOP 40 LIST of 2013 albums, I hope you all enjoy them and let me know what you think of the list.

40. Hugh Laurie - Didn't It Rain

Hugh Laurie took everyone by surprise in 2011 with his first music album titled Let Them Talk.  The lead single "You Don't Know My Mind," was absolutely amazing and allowed for people to understand that Hugh Laurie was a real musician who could stand his ground in the jazz industry.  The second album was no exception.  Although some may not like jazz sound, there is some great singles in this album that I find myself returning to again and again.  Give the jazz genre a chance and listen to this actor turned musician!! A great album to get this list started!!!

39. Bastille - Bad Blood

The lead single "Pompeii" immediately grabbed my attention immediately and I had to look into this artist.  There was no disappointment here.  The sound from "Pompeii" was throughout the album, which was reminiscent of 80s alternative and pop music that I grew up with.  This British band came onto the scene and broke through it - which was amazing considering the countless number of new artists who arose, and the returning artists who released new albums in this year.  Although, "Pompeii" is the attention grabber, the album grows on you with each listen, and you find yourself listening to a new track each time that you feel is your favorite.  Make sure to look out for All This Bad Blood which will be a compilation from this album and the various remixes to some of the tracks.  Great album!

38. Tinie Tempah - Demonstration

Although the rap industry is packed with artists from the South and New York, there is a small percentage from overseas.  Tinie Tempah is one of these artists.  Tinie not only came onto the scene with his first album, he FLEW into the scene with Disc-Overy.  The first two singles "Pass Out" and "Written in the Stars" became radio sensations, and could be heard on possibly every single warm up CD for sports in that timeframe.  With all the success from his first album, this English rapper had a lot to fulfill with his second album - and he achieved this.

This lead single, "Trampoline" featuring 2 Chainz was a great start to showing that he could bring a similar track as "Pass Out."  Another track that is similar with his other single from the first album is "Children of the Sun" featuring John Martin.  These tracks are amazing and the album is featured with other great features like Big Sean and Emeli Sande.  Make sure to check out this overseas MC who builds off of his propelling first album.

37. Haim - Days Are Gone

At first, I gave this group no hope whatsoever and didn't listen to them.  Then, I heard "Forever."  The sounds from this track brought together so many comparisons with popular 90s music.  The instrumental was simple and reminded me of some of The Smashing Pumpkins instrumentals.  Furthermore the vocals made me think of less intense and crazy Alanis Morissette.  Thus, I downloaded the album from this group and found that the entire was amazing from top to bottom and "Forever" was just the tip of the iceberg.  I found myself lost going back again and again to other tracks like "Send Me Down" and "The Wire."  I'm still not entirely sure what it is about Haim and their album, Days Are Gone, but I keep returning to the album and singing along with each rhythmic track that gets stuck in your head with each instrumental and chorus.  Definitely a high quality album and can't wait to see what comes from them in the future.

iTunes Download

36. Ciara - Ciara

It seems that Ciara has been around forever with popular tracks like "Goodies" and "Love Sex Magic," but when the single "I'm Out" featuring Nicki Minaj came out, I knew that this self-titled album was going to be special.  "I'm Out" was clearly a female empowering and the entire album was the same.  Although this R&B album was "feministically" driven, there are plenty of catchy hooks that everyone can listen to and enjoy.  One great example is the sexually driven "Read My Lips" which has a clear message, yet gets stuck in your head regardless of who you are.  There aren't many features on this album, which I am always a fan of since I feel that the industry is driven more by features then individual performance.  In this project, Ciara stands in the foreground with the few features - two from Nicki and one from boyfriend Future - and delivers an amazing album.

iTunes Download

35. The Civil Wars - The Civil Wars

When I first discovered this duo, I heard the track "Barton Hallow" and was brought in instantly by the haunting vocals and simple instrumental.  In fact, from their first album's efforts, the group won two Grammy's for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album.  Although their first album was independent and super successful, their second album definitely built upon this momentum.  One of the tracks that brought me in was "Devil's Backbone" which was nearly as haunting as "Barton Hallow."  The group is on a hiatus right now, but I hope that there is more music to come from them in the future, because this folk/country sound is something that is rarely accomplished or duplicated.

iTunes Download

34. Joe Nichols - Crickets

There are certain country artists that I find myself returning to and Joe Nichols is one of them.  Although, Nichols has been known for making comical country songs like "Brokenheartsville" and "Gimme That Girl," his newest album Crickets was definitely him maturing.  The album is full of great country songs that I find comparable to Keith Urban or Brad Paisley.  The album titled track "Crickets" was great literal use of the track gives a feeling that you are experiencing the story as Nichols sings.  Along with "Crickets," the track "Sunny and 75" is gaining popularity and would definitely be a great anthem for summer.

iTunes Download

33. Kid Cudi - Indicud

Kid Cudi has gone through a lot of transition after the release of The Moon Man I & II, he released the rock/rap album titled WZRD which was amazing.  It was a great success compared to Lil Wayne's attempt Rebirth.  The album gave a couple great tracks which I still find myself listening to, and Indicud was definitely building off of both of these. Indicud may seem eccentric and odd to the common listener, but the complexity behind album shows Kid Cudi is continuing to struggle with who he was and who he is becoming.  One of the best tracks is "Just What I Am" featuring King Chip, where Kid Cudi details his use of marijuana and why he stopped smoking and resorted to other methods.  Overall a great song and album detailing the life of Kid Cudi all the way to contemporary times.

iTunes Download

32. Luke Bryan - Here To Party

Along with Eric Church, Luke Bryan became another one of the country artists that I found myself listening to this year.  This album from Luke Bryan is his second this year, but I feel that this album is a great one compared to his first one.  The album is filled with tracks that are clearly made for radio, but do not break from the mold that is country music.  In other words, there are pop elements in this album, but tracks like "Beer in the Headlights" remains in the realm of the country music genre.  Great country album from this growing artist.

iTunes Download

31. Skylar Grey - Don't Look Down

Everyone has heard Skylar Grey in some fashion from her extremely popular features, singles, or work on Tosh.0, and her first solo album was an amazing start.  When I first listened to the album to review it for the website, I was thoroughly amazed.  I was instantly taken aback from the first track titled "Back From the Dead" which featured Big Sean and Travis Barker.  The track is a great display of her fluidity between the rap and pop industry.  I still believe in my assumption that Skylar Grey will become the next P!nk.  She is a badass, who establishes her empowering feelings through each and every song that she releases.  Definitely knew this would be on the list, just didn't know where!!

iTunes Download

30. David Bowie - The Next Day

There's not much to say about David Bowie that hasn't already been said.  He is a living legend.  He is an eccentric and talented musician.  These are just some of the things said about David Bowie, and after a long period of time he returned with The Next Day.  The album was typical Bowie with a more reflective and mature approach.  Either way I found myself singing along with songs like "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)."  This album will make you look back to his classic days of Ziggy Stardust and more.

iTunes Download

29. Jay-Z - Magna Carta Holy Grail

After my initial listen and review of the album, I still contend that his album is not as good as others believe.  The sheer inclusion of this album on the list is because it is a project from Jay-Z and producers like Pharrell, Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz.  This is not to say that the entire album is crap, there were some great tracks on this album including "Somewhereinamerica" and "BBC" which featured Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Timbaland, and Nas.  This was a great track, and I find myself listening again and again to the track "Oceans" which featured Frank Ocean.

iTunes Download

28. Black Sabbath - 13

I grew up with the songs from Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne and when I heard that they were releasing a new album I was both excited and cautious.  I was excited to hear new music from one of the greatest classic rock bands that I grew up with.  I was skeptical at first because of my uncertainty that Ozzy would be able to successfully sing through an entire album, and excited for something new.  I was thoroughly surprised.  Ozzy's vocals were awesome throughout the song, and lead single "God is Dead" was very dark.  This dark theme was persistent and reflective of Ozzy's life where he reflects some of the decisions that he made throughout his life.  This is a great addition to Black Sabbath's discography, and lets hope that there will be one or two more albums from this great band.

iTunes Download

27. The Lonely Island - The Wack Album

There will definitely be discussion and arguments about the inclusion of a comedic album, but I feel that these musical comedic albums are important.  They contribute a very different approach to music, where the listener can freely sing and listen - obviously not simultaneously.  The Lonely Island trio grew from their previous albums Incredibad and Turtlenecks & Chains.  This album shows one of the greatest stages in a rapper's career - obsession with themselves.  One of my favorite songs is "Kindergarden" which features Robyn and the video is shown below:

iTunes Download

26. Brad Paisley - Wheelhouse

Brad Paisley has always crossed that line between pop and country by using his humor to give great songs like "I'm Gonna Miss Her" and "Alcohol," and his most recent inclusion Wheelhouse took a slightly less humorous tone.  This began with the album before titled American Saturday Night.  Some of the tracks like from this album became great anthems for the summer including "Beat This Summer."  All in all this wasn't his best or worst album, but it did expand upon his legacy.  All that I wish is that "Accidental Rascist" would never have come into existence.

iTunes Download

25. Sara Bareilles - The Blessed Unrest

From her days on VH1 as a "You Oughta Know Artist," I have loved Sara Bareilles.  She has contributed great songs to the pop genre, which have a distinct sound that one knows from the beginning is Baraeilles.  One of these tracks from this album was "Brave."

Many have attempted to argue that this was a copy of Katy Perry's "Roar," although it came out before Katy Perry's track and was written before it.  Furthermore, the story behind this track was about her friend who finally "came out" to her family.  The message behind the song is great, and it doesn't hurt that it is catchy.  The rest of the album is amazing including the track "Hercules."
iTunes Download

24. Keith Urban - Fuse

Keith Urban has been one of the most successful individual artists in the country industry for some time and for good reason - he makes songs that are relatable in various ways and connotations.  Songs like "Cop Car," "We Were Us," and "Red Camaro" were so relatable that you feel that you are the actor within the song.  There is not much to say about Keith Urban and the album, except that it is another great contribution from one of the best country singers in this contemporary age.

iTunes Download

23. OneRepublic - Natives

From their "Apologize" days, the group has grown considerably, contributing two, three, or four tracks which are played on the radio until they become pop culture classics.  This is the case with OneRepublic's new album, Natives.  I gave this album a positive review and I stand behind my views.  Tracks like "Feel Again" and "Counting Stars" infect your mind and get stuck for days on end, since they are played on the radio nearly everyday.  Another reason why I think this band has been so successful is the positive feeling that one gets after listening to their music.  Below is the download for the album and video for "Counting Stars."

iTunes Download

22. Fall Out Boy - Save Rock & Roll

Fall Out Boy hasn't released anything since the underwhelming Folie a Deux, but they came out with the vengeance when they released their lead single for Save Rock & Roll, "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark."  The song was catchy from first listen and became included in a bunch of sports commercials and promotional videos.  All in all I was surprised with how listenable this album was from track to track, but I was a little confused by the contradiction between the title of the album and the features.  They are there to "save rock and roll," yet you have features from Big Sean, Courtney Love, and Elton John.  I love two out of those three artists - aka I hate Courtney Love - but I really think those two artists killed the whole cohesive vibe of the album.  Either way great album for Fall Out Boy to come out of hiatus.

iTunes Download

21. Paramore - Paramore

Paramore has been one of the most consisted bands in contemporary times.  From album to album, Paramore has kept their sound very similar.  There has been obviously some changes from here and there, but the sound has always been similar.  Their must recent self-titled album holds true to this trend, yet the messages behind their songs is somewhat more mature.  I loved this album and love to listen to it along with all of their previous albums - even with the departure of several key members.  Make sure to check out the major tracks "Still Into You" and "Now."  For any Paramore fan, both dedicated and passing, they will love this album.

iTunes Download

20. A$AP Rocky - Long. Live. A$AP

In the beginning, I didn't listen to A$AP Rocky because I thought he was a little too extreme, but after I listened to his first mixtape, Live. Long. A$AP, I found he was just eccentric and followed the trend of gangster rap.  I was expecting the same thing from his first legit album, but was thoroughly surprised.   Songs like "Wild For the Night" featuring Skrillex and "Fashion Killa" showed that A$AP had some diversity within his repertoire.  Besides these two tracks, I found myself listening again and again to album titled track and "1 Train" which featured a bunch of MC's like Yelawolf, Kendrick, Gunplay, and more.  This album set the bar high for his future works, but make sure to give a listen to it now.

iTunes Download

19. Twenty One Pilots - Vessel

This lead single from Twenty One Pilots second album, Vessel, brought me in with its eccentric take on punk/rap music.  We all know that bands like Linkin Park made this popular, but Twenty One Pilots took the genre and made it seem more artistic.  The vocals from this two man group work well with the simplistic instrumentals.  Each of the songs are catchy and will definitely get stuck in your head, or make you think about various occasions in your life.  The deep connotations in these songs is shown strongly in the song "Car Radio."  The song was very relatable and am very excited to see what is to come from this band in the future.  Make sure to check out "Guns for Hands" too, it is one of my favorites on the album.
iTunes Download

18. Ariana Grande - Yours Truly

When any former child TV star goes on to make an album, I am immediately apprehensive.  I did not want to have anything to do with Ariana Grande, but then the accolades and reviews came for the album.  The track "My Way" was a top 10 hit on the Billboard 100, and the album itself debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200.  After these mentions, I had to listen.  I downloaded the album and was taken aback by her pounding and dynamic vocals that were reminiscent of a young Mariah Carey.  Besides the major track "My Way," I would recommend listening to the tracks "Piano" and "Tattooed Heart."  Great songs, and definitely interested to see if Ariana will give more in the future, or if she will be a one hit wonder.

iTunes Download

17. Kelly Rowland - Talk A Good Game

Although Beyonce Knowles could be considered the leader and most dominant member of Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland has had a lot of success on her own as well.  From her last solo album, the listener was given a mature, sexual view of Kelly's life with songs like "Motivation" and "Lay It On Me."  She has continued this theme in her most recent album Talk A Good Game.  The cover can display this enough but songs like "Kisses Down Low" and "Red Wine" definitely convey this message.  The album was one of the best R&B albums of the year, and definitely deserves the spot it was given.  Make sure to check out the reunion of the two other Destiny's Child members in the track "You Changed."

iTunes Download

16. Capital Cities - In A Tidal Wave of Mystery

I first heard Capital Cities with their song on the Iron Man 3 inspired soundtrack with the song "One Minute More."  I found the song comparable to OneRepublic and Keane and wanted to hear more.  Their first album is riddled with a bunch of eccentric songs, that have a heavy foundation with electronic sounds - such as "I Sold My Bed, Not My Stereo" and "Kangaroo Court."  I found these songs a lot better than "Safe and Sound" which became a radio sensation since it was played every half hour or so.  Either way take a trip down the eccentric and listen to this awesome album.

iTunes Download

15. Ellie Goulding - Halcyon Days

Ellie Goulding has been one of the fastest growing pop sensations in the past few years because of the song "Lights."  She has been really weird with her albums, yet this album has been awesome.  It included a lot of tracks from Halcyon along with some new tracks including "Burn."

Since her collaboration with Calvin Harris, Ellie has accepted the dance approach to pop and I think that it suits her well.  I hope that she will continue it in the future and this British blonde will continue making awesome pop tracks with her different coarse voice.

14. The Weeknd - Kiss Land

The Weeknd became popular through his mixtapes and his features with fellow Torontoian - I don't know if thats real - and there was a huge anticipation for his album.  The first single featured Drake and was titled "Live For."  The song was reminiscent of past collaborations like "The Zone" and "Crew Love."  Besides this collaboration there was no other on the album, and I feel that this made it easier to take in The Weeknd's talents.  Love this album, and definitely kick back and listen to this after a rough day.  Make sure to check this out along with his three mixtapes.

iTunes Download

13. Big Sean - Hall of Fame

Besides Drake, Big Sean has been one of my favorite new school rappers to come out on the scene, and after the successes that his first album Finally Famous offered, there were big shoes to fill.  I believe that in Hall of Fame he filled them well.  Although there was one random skit - which I hate in any album or mixtape - the album was full of great story tale raps which talked about Big Seans life in Detroit and his journey to where he is today.  I love stories like that in music, and I found myself lost in the tracks like "Toyota Music" and "10 2 10."  Make sure to give the second album of this Detroit MC a listen!!!

iTunes Download

12. Beyonce - Beyonce

Beyonce took everyone by surprise with the release of her "visual album" a week or so ago on iTunes. The album, as of now, is only available digitally and has sold more copies than anyone else digitally.  On top of that, Beyonce has stated that there will be a Part 2 to the project.  The entire project featured 14 tracks and 17 videos.  I finally got around to listening to the album and was blown away.  The entire album has more of a gentle tone compared to her last album 4, which had a lot of happy and energetic songs.  As of now, I am obsessed with the songs "Mine" featuring Drake and "Drunk in Love" featuring Jay-Z.  This reemergence of Beyonce on the music industry is amazing, and I am definitely excited to see what is to come from Queen B.

iTunes Download

11. Daft Punk - Random Access Memories

What is there to say that has not already been said about them - they are Daft Punk.  They are amazing. They continue to make new music, yet their talents always bring popularity to their fans and others alike.  I will say that "Get Lucky" was annoying after the playing on the radio every 5 minutes.  Besides "Get Lucky," songs like "Lose Yourself to Dance" and "Giorgio by Moroder" were masterful. The use of an interview to explain the beginnings of dance music and the mixture of actual synthesizer made the listener feel like they were listening to a real song, not just an interview with music.  Another great album to include in Daft Punk's already astonishing discography.

iTunes Download

10. Chance The Rapper - Acid Rap

This guy has been astonishing everyone in the music industry, and I am equally amazed by this rapper. He has only released two mixtapes, but this one is absolutely amazing.  His nasally pitched voice catches you off guard, but his lyrics bring you back in and listen to his stories that seem relatable to every listener.  One of my favorites is "My Favorite Song" featuring Childish Gambino.  Along with that song there is the song "Cocoa Butter Kisses."

This song features Twista and Vic Mensa, and the hook is infectious and brings you and allows you to listen to the masterful of three great lyricists.  Definitely make sure to get this mixtape since it is free on datpiff.com!!!!!!!

9. Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience & 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)

I'm not sure if any other return to music was more anticipated and celebrated that Justin Timberlake after his lengthy hiatus.  Timberlake responded duly with not only one, but two albums in 2013.  The second album seemed to build off the first, and there are too many singles to count that have become radio sensations: "Suit & Tie," "Tunnel Vision," "Mirrors," "Take Back the Night," and "TKO."  I am sure there will be more as more videos are made, but it was nice to see Timberlake back to making music and lets hope that there are no more breaks in the foreseeable future.  Both download links are attached below

iTunes Download (Part 1)
iTunes Download (Part 2)

8. Avicii - True

Right off the bat, I wasn't sure what to expect from Avicii's True.  Was it going to be a lot like "Levels," or was it going to be like the singles he had released like "Silhouettes"??  Shortly into the album, I found that it was neither.  To be 100% honest, I like the approach that Avicii took - he attempted to mesh folk-style vocals with the electro/dance genre.  Was it a perfect combo - no.  But, it did demonstrate that these genres could work together especially on the track "Hey Brother" which I continuously listen to even now.  This album reaffirms that Avicii will not be a one hit wonder DJ who disappears into the background, he is amongst the elite who are here to stay.  Let's hope for some more of these album from Avicii and other artists in the future.

iTunes Download

7. J. Cole - Born Sinner

J. Cole's mixtapes and first album, Cole World: Sideline Story were awesome and brought story tale rap to the forefront along with a number of other rappers who emerged onto the scene. However, J. Cole took a bold move with his second album - he attempted to take on Kanye with the same release date.  In this mission he did awesome - the album showed J. Cole's growth from his first album, particularly in his storytelling which was already his strongest attribute.  For example, "Let Nas Down" showed how a rapper even has role models while in the industry.  Furthermore there was the track titled "Crooked Smile," which had an accompanying video.

These kinds of stories is what rap has been missing and rappers like J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake have been bringing them back.  Definitely make sure to get this acclaimed album which tore up the charts and will continue to be a great listen.
iTunes Download

6. Bloody Beetroots - HIDE

There are few albums which come to encapsulate particular emotions but this awesome album from The Bloody Beetroots makes you want to run through a while after you hear the bounding beats from "Spank" and "Volevo Un Gatoo Nero."  After listening to this I am left amazed as to what these DJ's can do with instruments and other random noises.  The heavy use of guitar, piano, and drums is what makes this album particularly successful because it remains connected directly to "real" music.  I find myself going back to this album while I work out being pumped from beginning to end, so give it a listen and run through a wall!!

iTunes Download

5. Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City

After successes from their first two albums, the awkwardly preppy group Vampire Weekend took a hiatus.  They came back stronger than ever with a somewhat different sound in their lead single "Diane Young."  The track reminded me of "A-Punk" and "Cousins" with the addition of distortional vocals which was used heavily throughout the album.  As with any Vampire Weekend album, there were repetitive songs where a message was taken from the connotation - such as "Ya Hey."  Either way this album belongs in the top 5 because of "relistenability."  I can listen to this album again and again, and not get tired of it.  If you aren't a fan of the group make sure to check out this album and their previous two.

iTunes Download

4. Kanye West - Yeezus

Kanye West has always been a controversial and genius artist in the rap industry and Yeezus was another addition to his legacy.  The sounds and hooks from this song are haunting, powerful, and striking.  To listen to this album, you have to take a step back and appreciate it for what it is - musical art.  Some may critique it, but I found it amazing and so did other critics.  Songs like "Black Skinhead" and "Blood on the Leaves"are some of the best on this short album, and I find myself going back and listening to them again and again.  Some people may be thrown off by tracks like "I Am A God," but just listen to them and give them a chance.  In the end, is this one of Kanye's best albums - no.  But is it a groundbreaking album which will continue to push boundaries in the coming years - yes.
iTunes Download

3. Drake - Nothing Was The Same

Drake's first two albums, "Thank Me Now" and "Take Care," broke him onto the scene and both were acclaimed for their works.  Drake's singer-songwriter approach has come to become popular with every track that is released.  The progression of Drake's albums from radio songs, to storytelling has continued with Nothing Was The Same.  The tracks like "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Worst Behavior" have and will definitely become radio sensations but that is where the mainstream tracks stop.

After these tracks there is a ton of story raps where Drake explains his past, his present, and where his future is going to take him.  One of my favorites is "Wu-Tang Forever."  Drake has and will continue to give listeners great tracks which will bring everyone together with the awkward eccentricity.  Make sure to check out the third album from Drake's already growing career.

2. CHVRCHES - The Bones of What You Believe

Few bands break onto the scene with their first album and bring mass attention, especially with the music industry being fueled by corporate singers, and bad musicians who get popular with just their hooks and beats.  However, CHVRCHES is an exception to this trend.  CHVRCHES built upon the growing popularity of electro pop music which has grown from artists like The Killers and Coldplay and has developed with Capital Cities and Passion Pit.  The sounds from CHVRCHES first album, The Bones of What You Believe, are amazing and remind me of a M83 type with a female singer.  One of the first tracks "The Mother We Share" brought me in from first listen and I couldn't get enough from other tracks like "Gun," "Recover," and "We Sink."  If you haven't checked out this album yet, you definitely need to and take in this great band - hoping for more great music in the future.  Check out the video below for "The Mother We Share" and the download for the album.

iTunes Download

1. Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP2

When debating this list, there were a bunch of albums deserving of the #1 spot, but I felt that Eminem's newest album was so polarizing that it needed the top spot.  From beginning to end, the album brought tracks that you could listen and sing to with each listen of the album.  I still have not become tired with this album, and I don't think I will.  Mainly because it builds off of the success of Eminem's first Marshall Mathers LP, and the listener sees a growth in Eminem as he looks back on his past.  Particularly in the song "Headlights" where he apologizes to his mom and discusses the decisions he made.  This album gets my top nod for what it brings to the rap and music industry - diversity.  The album is not just full of one style or flow; instead, the listener sees Eminem bobbing and weaving through various styles like the intensively fast lyrics from "Rap God" to the emotional singing from "Stronger Than I Was."  The album is amazing and most likely will go down as one of Eminem's best.  Make sure to download this new album from a living legend in the rap game, Eminem.
