The Strokes have been on tour following the release of their 2011 album, Angles, and the release of their newest album Comedown Machine shows this. The bassist Nikolai Fraiture stated that "we got off tour and we had these songs, some left over and some new," and in the long run I think that was detrimental to the album. Some songs, such as "All The Time" and "One Way Trigger," are absolutely brilliant while others like "Partners In Crime" and "Call It Fate, Call It Karma" missed the mark.
