Q: Why Kid Klash?
A: It kinda started because when I was younger I had a short temper and I got mad really easy so I guess the name just started with me clashing with other people. Also when I got older you begin to make decisions that clash with yourself so altogether my name came from clashing with all people including myself.
Q: When did you first start rapping?
A: It all started when I was 12 years old, and me and one of my friends always used to dress in a black shirt and black pants pretending we were in a band. We loved music so much that we used to just write down lyrics to songs we heard or were liking at the time.
Q: Explain the "Live For The Dream" Team. Including its members, goals, & etc.
A: First of all the members are Wick aka Larry Bird, Jae Illa, Th3ory, and myself and we are actually known as "On Point Music" and the "Live For The Dream" is our reach out to the fans, so ultimately thats our goal is to reach out and connect with fans and become an inspiration. Personally one of my goals from it is to become good and do it with good intentions while presenting a new side of rap which excludes all the drinking and drugs.
Q: Who are your musical & personal influences?
A: Jesus, DMX, Chamillionaire, Nelly, Drake, Michael Jordan, and Deon Sanders. I get compared a lot of times to Drake lyrically because I tell you how I'm feeling and how I have felt and the situations that came from it.
Q: What is your approach when making a track? (writing, producing, etc.)
A: Every song is different. I never produce the tracks they are already shown to me, and sometimes I will hear the song and just put a verse with it and write for that track specifically. Other times I'll just be sitting around and I will write some lines on my phone and use them when I need them or if I feel like they fit.
Q: From the larger scale acts you have done, was there any process made in a deal? Which one was the your favorite?
A: I opened for Yung Joc and T.I and I got to talk to the CEO of Grand Hustle, the managers, and also I was friends with all the people in Pittsburgh who ended up having me open for T.I., but no direct deal or anything was ever made. My favorite was Yung Joc at Edinboro because I knew a lot of the kids up there and it was just a huge party that was a lot of fun all the way around.
Q: If you could sign with any of the big rapper's labels, who would you sign with and why?
A: I would honestly love to sign with any of them and none over the other, but I think it would be cool to be the first white guy in Young Money.
